Meaning of Om Mani Padme Hung by Dalai Lama

“Om” means transforming impure body, speech and mind into pure body, speech and mind.

“Mani” represents jewel. It means infinite Altruism. (Compassion for others.)

“Padme” means Wisdom.

“Hung” means the Altruism and Wisdom combined.
