“Being aware that death can happen any time–that is the most important meditation for us.
Even if we know all the Buddhas teachings by heart, if we don’t reflect on impermanence our actions will not become Dharma and our lives will not become Dharma. Our actions may look religious but when we really check we find out that the motivation is not Dharma, so they are only worldly dharma. Looking religious but not Dharma.
Therefore the most important meditation, the most important practice for us worldly beings is to constantly remember impermanence.”
